Walk 17 - Torrente Ussita Circuit.

This route circles the valley of the Torrente Ussita, through the woodland on the Northern slope of the spectacular Monte Bove Nord, returning via the mountain village of Casali.

You start at the town of Ussita, next to the river Torrente Ussita, but the route climbs a little way up the South side of the valley, giving views across to the cliffs on the North side, with Casali just above those cliffs. The small natural spring of Sorgenti di Panico, one of the many sources for the Torrente Ussita, is at the half way point of the walk.

Total Time: 4.5 hours
Total Ascent: 630 metres
Total Distance: 12 km

Refreshments are available in Ussita, and at peak times also at the Rifugio Casali.

The majority of the route uses good forest tracks, but there are places where paths are deteriorated and will require a little care.
